Otto Joseph Tryczak Jr., 82, died Monday, February 20, 2023, following a brief hospital stay.
Otto was born in Three Lakes, Wisconsin, on August 7, 1940, to the late Otto and Sophia Tryczak. He was the youngest of seven children and is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Otto enlisted in the US Army in 1958 and served until 1960. While doing so, he was stationed in Africa as a spy. Otto married his first wife, Joyce Fox, in November 1962; they had five children. Otto married his second wife, Linda Procknow in August 1981; followed three sons. Otto worked for Chet’s TV and Electronics for 12 years before buying the business out in 1996 and remaining open until 2006. Otto enjoyed many hobbies over the years like hunting and fishing, and he always had a beautiful and bountiful vegetable garden. He enjoyed tinkering around and fixing small electronics like radios. Otto’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the nurses and staff at Aspirus Wausau Hospital for the warm tender care they gave him in his final days. Otto is survived by his wife, Linda; eight children, Anita (Jeff) Eastman of Union Grove, WI; Laura (Steve) Weith of Tomahawk, WI; Kenneth Tryczak of Norfolk, VA; Christine (Tim) Thomas of Milwaukee, OR; Nancy Flores of Cedar Creek, TX; Tyson (Samantha) Tryczak of Sacramento, CA; Michael (Praewa) Tryczak of Bangkok, Thailand; and Kristopher (Phillip) Tryczak of Antigo, WI; fifteen grandchildren; and two great grandsons. He is further survived by his brother-in-law, William (Patty) Procknow of Merrill, WI, three nephews, four nieces, cousins, and many friends.
The funeral service for Otto will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Corning, Lincoln County. Rev. Joel Danner will officiate. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M., Saturday at the church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
