Michael W. Chrudimsky, 65, of Merrill, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 of natural causes while he was an inpatient at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Mike was born November 21, 1953 in Antigo son of the late George and Geraldine (Guth) Chrudimsky. He is survived and will be missed by his wife of 36 years, Jeanne (Schramke) who he wed on May 14, 1983 in Antigo. Mike was the owner and operator of ‘Mike’s Barber Shop’ in Merrill for over 40 years. He was always ready to lend an ear, tell a story or share a funny joke. He truly enjoyed his customers and considered them to be his family. Mike was also a well-known antique dealer where he specialized in sterling silver flatware. He was most happy traveling to visit antique shops and auctions always hunting for “just the right piece” in a particular pattern. His spark of interest in antiques came in his younger years when he mowed lawns and a special customer paid him with old unique coins. His most favorite thing of all was spending time with his family and grandsons. Mike was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Chrudimsky, Merrill; his son Christopher (Jennifer) Chrudimsky, Merrill; three grandsons, Gus, Henry, and Max Chrudimsky, all of Merrill; four sisters, Mary (John) Schmoll, Antigo, Jane (Jerome) Keen, Aniwa, and Betty (Tim) Gervais and Rose Chrudimsky, all of Antigo; five brothers, George (Kathy) Chrudimsky, Aniwa, David (Joanne) Chrudimsky, Antigo, Robert (Kathy) Chrudimsky, Aniwa, Eugene (Karen) Chrudimsky, Antigo, and Randy Chrudimsky, Aniwa; and a sister in law, Jeanette Chrudimsky, Matoon. Besides his parents, Mike is preceded in death by one brother, John Chrudimsky. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 17, 2019 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. Father Chris Kemp will preside. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstinefuneralhome.com.
